City Studio engages youth with limited access to arts education through rigorous arts education experiences that provide meaningful social engagement, leadership development opportunities, and preparation for successful matriculation into college or other fields.
City Studio includes a two-year interdisciplinary curriculum taught by leading SFAI faculty and local artists, as well as a network of advising and support services. The curriculum primes youth to take part in broader dialogues and issues of contemporary art and life. A stipend is given to each participating youth, and all art materials are provided.
