Horizons is like my second home. I love being here. It’s like the book The Giving Tree. They just keep giving but even when there is nothing left you still come back.

Horizons has been my home away from home. I have grown very close to the staff in the building and the Coordinators in my program. I appreciate all the help and support I have gotten since being here. I wouldn’t trade the experience I have had in here for the world.

Horizons helped me find the person I want to be and motivates me to keep pushing and going towards the place I want to be,

Horizons is to me a big family. We all come together coming from different social statues, ethnicities and cultures. We come together to learn, teach and experience together as a family. We create so many memories that we become grateful as we come older. We eventually of course want to give back to the family that has given us so much. I hope to continue giving back to my home. I am thankful and grateful for everything I have received.

I enjoy being part of Horizons Unlimited. From participating in several different programs, I have become more aware of what’s going on in the community. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to spread my knowledge to help better others, the way the programs did for me. Being at Horizons has allowed me to invest my free time into doing something positive. I feel safe and the staff is supportive. The things that I have learned has made a big impact on my life overall and I will never forget that. I am able to use the knowledge and skills I have acquired from here for different things. I am thankful for Horizons and the opportunities offered and very proud to be a part of it. Horizons truly educates, empowers, and makes a difference.

My time at Horizons was great and still is. I have been here since I was 13 years old to now (17yrs). I came here with a counselor then started JEEP up until now. I have fun everyday. I come here to good food, new friends and more. I learn about drugs, gang violence, healthy/unhealthy relationships and life in general. I can be myself here, I’m confortable and when I need something like resources or someone to talk to, I know Horizons can look out for me. If I’m interested in music or internships maybe even talk with a counselor. Horizons has DJ Project, JEEP, FAV, MYEEP, Substance use counseling and more. I would highly recommend Horizons to anybody who wants to keep themselves going and make money at the same time.

Horizons is basically my second home. This place has changed me and made me the man I am today. I owe my knowledge and workforce ethic to the HU staff for all the resources and time they have invested in me.
